The European Union might “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it calls “unjustified” visa bans imposed by the United States on five Europeans working on combating digital hatred and disinformation, an EU official has said.

European Leaders Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans were placed on individuals who have been central to campaigns to enact legislation governing US-based technology firms.
